| The future of Basildon Council's housing stock was sealed on the 29 March 2007 with unanimous approval from Basildon Councillors, for a Management Agreement with St Georges Community Housing Ltd. |

This agreement has meant that since 1 April 2007 the management of council homes throughout the Basildon District, has transferred from Basildon Council to St Georges Community Housing Ltd, who are now the ALMO (Arms Length Management Organisation) company.

Permanent closure of Felmores Area Housing Office from Friday 29 May.
St Georges Community Housing will be withdrawing service from the Felmores Area Housing Office on Friday 29TH May 2009.
