Complete our Home Contents Insurance questionnaire - it could win you £25
On behalf of St Georges Community Housing, Basildon Council wants to consult all its tenants about the Council's Home Contents Insurance Scheme, including tenants who have not signed up to the scheme.
Basildon Council wants to find out exactly what cover its tenants would like their Home Contents Insurance policy to provide them with, and get comments about levels of service provided by the Insurance Section at Basildon Council.

All completed questionnaires will be put into a draw to win a £25 Love to Shop  Voucher.
The closing date for completion and return of the questionnaire is 30th July 2010.

Insuring your household contents
We strongly advise all tenants to take out contents insurance.
You can do this either by making your own private arrangements or through a scheme provided by Basildon Council with AVIVA (formerly Norwich Union) solely for St Georges Community Housing tenants.
Many people believe that their landlord insures personal belongings against theft, fire, vandalism or burst pipes, but this is not the case and unfortunately many people find this out after the damage has been done.

St Georges and Basildon Council have made it easy for you to insure your belongings with Aviva, a major insurance company.

How the Insurance Scheme works
Your application will be considered by Basildon Council's Insurance Team who will contact you direct.
The cost of insurance is payable weekly and premiums are paid with your rent.
To make sure that you are always covered you must keep up to date with your payments, as failure to pay your insurance premiums will result in the policy being cancelled |
