The Goodbye Reward Scheme
Are you moving home? - If so you could qualify for a "Goodbye Reward" of £250.00!
If you have given us notice to leave your home our "Goodbye Reward Scheme" is our way of saying thank you for leaving your home in a tidy condition and ready to let for the next tenant.
How do I qualify for a £250 reward??
You must have:-
- maintained a clear rent account with us for six weeks and not owe any other money to Basildon Council, including housing benefit overpayments or Council Tax.
- no breaches of tenancy as laid down in the tenancy agreement and Tenants’ Handbook, including anti-social behaviour.
- given the appropriate notice period to end your tenancy as stated in the Tenant’s Handbook.
- inform us of any repairs that are our responsibility.
- agreed to a home condition survey being carried out shortly before you move.
- leave your home in a clean and clear condition.
- returned all your keys and carried out any repairs or alterations required following inspection of your home.
- provided a full forwarding address.
How can I arrange my home condition survey??
Just contact our Empty Homes (Voids) and Garages Team to arrange an appointment or get any advice you may need.
Are there any exemptions to the reward scheme??
Yes, eligibility for the scheme is only available for tenants, the reward cannot be given to next of kin or executors where the property has become empty due to the death of a sole tenant.
