Leaseholders - How to Pay Us
We recommend that leaseholders pay their Service Charge Account by Direct Debit as this method reduces the administration charges to the leaseholder.
Service charge bills
In June each year every leaseholder will receive a statement of the actual cost of service charges for the previous year and estimated costs for the current year.
Invoices for service charges are issued annually.

Different methods of paying your service charge bill
You can us pay your service charge bill by any of the following methods:

- Payment Online direct to Basildon Council - 24 hour service
- 24 hour payment phoneline 01268 294848
- Credit/Debit Card payment phoneline 01268 294343 - Office hours only
- Paying your rent at Local Post Offices and Paypoint outlets
- Personal visit to the Basildon Council's town centre offices in The Basildon Centre
- Housebound Collection - for anyone disabled and housebound

If you find you can't pay
If you are a leaseholder who is experiencing difficulty paying service charges.
Please contact our recovery office on 01268 465193 to discuss payment arrangements.
Do please remember, it is always best to inform our Recovery Officer if you are struggling to pay, otherwise further action may be taken against you.
If you are of pensionable age
You can contact the Pensions Service on 0845 6060265 for advice.
If you qualify for help they may be able to pay part or all your service charge.
If you are under pensionable age and on income support
You can contact the Department of Work and Pensions on 0845 6088575.
