Leaseholder Involvement
St Georges has a Leaseholder Panel which is supported and organised by one of our dedicated Tenant Participation Development Officers
The purpose of the Leaseholder Panel is to meet quarterly in order to consider issues that are important to leaseholders, such as:
- service charges
- major repairs programmes
- insurance costs
- general lease matters.
Any Basildon Council leaseholder may attend a quarterly Leaseholder Panel meeting by prior arrangement with the Tenant Participation team.
The views of our leaseholders are important to us at St Georges. We also have a legal requirement to consult our leaseholders when major repairs and improvements are to be carried out to any of our blocks of flats.
With this in mind, we will always welcome enquiries from any of our leaseholders who are interested in becoming official leaseholder representatives, attending Leaseholder Panel meetings and consultations.
St Georges also holds the Leaseholder Annual Forum which is open to all our leaseholders, and at which they are welcome to give us their views.
Keep a watch on our meetings calendar for details of the annual open forum as well as our quarterly Leaseholder Panel meetings and events.
Interested in becoming a leaseholder representative??
We are always looking for leaseholder representatives to cover Central Basildon, Pitsea, Vange, Wickford, Laindon and Billericay.
For more information about what is involved and the support available for new representatives, contact our Tenant Participation Team.
