Equality Impact Assessments
What is an Equality Impact Assessment?
An Equality Impact Assessment ensures that St Georges Community Housing services, policies and procedures do not impact on customers and staff unfairly or unequally.
The Assessment identifies any customer needs that we have not met and where possible also promotes equality of opportunity.
An equality impact assessment is a way of making sure this happens.
Why is an Equality Impact Assessment needed?
St Georges Community Housing has a duty under the Race Relations Amendment Act 2000, to assess the impact of polices, strategies and services for any negative impact on its customers and staff.
