Our Commitment to the Environment
St Georges Community Housing is committed to the environment and have a wide range of initiatives that provide an impact.
Initiatives include:-
- specifying that PVC windows now fitted are double glazed with low e-glass, (the quality of these are improving with time).
- the introduction condenser combi-boilers which considerably enhance the energy efficiency of systems by supplying hot water when needed rather than allowing heat loss as is the case with non-condenser fitted systems
- the assessment of contractors' environmental credentials by use of an extension to the industry standard (CHAS – Construction Health and Safety
 ), which takes the form of an environmental assessment questionnaire. |
