Decent Homes Programme - Summary of property needing improvement
Listed below is a section of our decent homes summary count giving the number of properties requiring various Decent Homes improvement works. Subject to necessary funding and technical requirements we aim to carry out these works by 2015.
Thermal Comfort (central heating upgrades, roof and wall insulation improvements)
These works are, currently, carried out by our partner contractors ALHCO Gas services, and Climate Energy Solutions.
Our last property survey summary showed that here are a total of 1715 properties that require these types of works.
Modern Improvements (kitchen and bathroom improvements)
These works are, currently, carried out by our contractors Glorcroft and Smith & O’Sullivan.
Our last property survey summary showed that there are 7300 properties that require kitchen improvement works and 4700 properties that require bathroom improvement works.
Key Components (Windows, Wiring, Boilers)
These works are carried out by our contractor’s Anglian Windows, Hawkins Electrical and ALHCO Gas services.
Our last property survey summary showed that there are 2000 properties that require window improvements, 7550 that require electrical rewires and 4600 that require boiler improvement works.
