St Georges Event
Procurement Conference held on 23rd November 2007
"Delivering the Decent Homes Programme for Basildon District Council".
St Georges Community Housing Ltd (SGCH) has plans to begin a £143 million housing improvement programme during 2008.
Managing this investment programme, which will bring all the homes that St Georges looks after for Basildon Council up to the government's Decent Homes Standard, will be the biggest challenge facing SGCH and its tenants over the coming years.
In order to deliver the £143 million worth of planned investment works by the 2013 deadline, it has of course been necessary for SGCH to procure the services of consultants, contractors and supply chain partners.
Following publication in the Official Journal of the European Union of notices inviting expressions of interest from bidders, SGCH arranged a procurement conference to inform potential bidders of what St Georges and its residents will expect of any future partners.
Companies interested in offering their services as consultants, contractors and supply chain partners were invited to attend.
