Careline for Castle Point and Rochford residents
Since June 2002, Basildon Careline has been installing alarms in both Castle Point and Rochford, as neither of these areas has its own Careline service.
Careline can currently provide it's monitoring only service to clients in Castle Point & Rochford.
This is due to the distances involved in getting to these areas in an emergency, Careline staff based in Basildon would not be able to respond to emergency calls fast enough.
Therefore, as part of the monitoring only service keyholders and relatives are relied upon to attend any emergency calls.
If keyholders and relatives are unavailable to attend then Careline will contact the Police to gain entry.
In all other respects the service is the same and the rental charge is the same.
The Careline newsletter is posted to clients to ensure they are kept up-to-date with what’s happening with the service.

Castle Point and Rochford Districts each have their own Careline Officer.
Since the Summer of 2005 there have been enough clients in Castle Point and Rochford District to enable a part-time member of staff to join the Careline Team.
The Careline team member for Castle Point and Rochford District is solely responsible for installations and replacing any faulty alarms or pendants in those districts.
They also make the usual twice yearly visits to check the equipment and update any details.
